Aviation Sans Frontières funds

Aviation Sans Frontières funds are made up of:

  • membership contributions;
  • donations;
  • financial support from partnering companies;
  • institutional shareholdings (including United Nations pooled funds and the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Development);
  • revenue from merchandise sales and other events, including concerts, golf tournaments and charity dinners…

This money allows Aviation Sans Frontières to fund its humanitarian activities and respond to the organisation’s permanent needs, such as aircraft maintenance, insurance, taxes, the cost of missions and other general running costs.

Transparency

Aviation Sans Frontières operations are governed by the principle of transparency towards its donors: mailings and publications allow the public to keep up to date with all of the organisation’s activities and action.

The association is regularly monitored through internal and external audits, ensuring that missions are carried out to satisfaction. All accounts are certified by an appointed auditor and are published each year in the Official Journal for charity organisations. As a matter of transparency, Aviation Sans Frontières is also certified by the IDEAS group. All organisations calling for public generosity, which meet the terms of good practice with regards to governance, financial management and action efficiency, can obtain the IDEAS certificate. Aviation Sans Frontières was granted this certificate in 2013.
